The safety regulations for operating centerless grinders that every grinder must comply with!
Release time:2021-03-19
When operating a centerless grinder, the operator should:
During work, operators should wear work clothes and hair care hats. There should be a vacuum cleaner above the grinder, and a dust mask should be worn during dry grinding; Wear protective goggles to prevent foreign objects from injuring the grinding wheel during dressing and grinding. Before use, the grinding wheel must be visually or audio inspected for any damage or breakage
A. Visual inspection. All grinding wheels must be visually inspected before use. If there is any damage, they are not allowed to be used,
B. Audio inspection. The grinding wheel used for inspection must be dry and free of attachments, otherwise it will affect the inspection results
Before installing the grinding wheel, it is necessary to check the speed of the grinding wheel spindle and not exceed the maximum allowable working speed of the grinding wheel,
4. Installation of grinding wheel:
A, The grinding wheel hole must be slid onto the grinding wheel spindle or grinding wheel chuck and maintained with appropriate clearance,
B、 When the sanding wheel passes through a large area, it is allowed to use a shrink fit liner. The thickness of the liner should not exceed the two sides of the grinding wheel and should not be less than 1/2 of the thickness of the grinding wheel. It is not allowed to use shrink fit liners to install grinding wheels with a diameter larger than the maximum allowable diameter for grinding machinery. C. A flexible material liner (such as asbestos rubber sheet, etc.) must be used between the grinding wheel and the clamping surface of the grinding wheel chuck, with a thickness of 1-2 millimeters and a diameter 2 millimeters larger than the clamping surface diameter.
D. When installing grinding wheels, grinding wheel spindles, liners, and grinding wheel chucks, the mating surfaces and clamping surfaces should be kept clean and free of any attachments.
E、 During installation, attention should be paid to the tightness of the nuts or screws, which should be tightened enough to drive the grinding wheel without sliding, to prevent damage to the grinding wheel caused by excessive pressure. If there are multiple compression screws, they should be gradually tightened in diagonal order, and the tightening force should be uniform. If conditions permit, a force wrench should be used
F. When installing the sand tile, its compression length must be greater than the width of the sand tile, and the center of the sand tile assembly after installation must be aligned with the rotation center of the main shaft.
6. When more than one grinding wheel is installed on a grinding wheel chuck at the same time, isolation plates are allowed to be used to separate the grinding wheels. The diameter of the isolation plate and the size of the clamping surface with the grinding wheel must be equal to that of the grinding wheel chuck. For specially manufactured grinding wheels, they are allowed to be bonded or placed together for installation.
A. Internal grinding.
B. Used for grinding wheels with a diameter not exceeding 50 millimeters on portable grinding machines.
C. Diamond and cubic borax wheels with metal matrix
7. After the grinding wheel is installed on the grinding wheel spindle, the protective cover of the grinding wheel must be reinstalled to protect it. 8. The newly installed grinding wheel should be air rotated at the working speed first. The air freight transfer time is:
A. Diameter ≥ 400 millimeters, air transit time greater than 5 minutes.
B. Diameter<400 millimeters, air transit time greater than 2 minutes.
During air transportation, the operator should stand in a safe position, on the side of the grinding wheel, and should not stand in front of or in the tangential direction of the grinding wheel. The;
The distance between the grinding wheel and the workpiece holder should be less than half of the minimum external dimensions of the workpiece being ground, and the maximum should not exceed 3 millimeters. After adjustment, it must be tightened.
10. The protective plate and workpiece bracket on the grinding wheel protection device must be adjusted when the grinding wheel stops rotating.
When grinding the outer circle of slender workpieces, a center bracket should be installed.
12. When using a circular surface as the working surface, it is not advisable to use a side grinding wheel to prevent the wheel from breaking.
13. After the grinding wheel wears out, it is allowed to adjust the spindle speed of the grinding wheel to maintain its working speed, but it is not allowed to exceed the linear speed indicated on the grinding wheel.
14. The maximum size of grinding wheel diameter wear should comply with relevant regulations, and it is not allowed to use grinding wheels with a minimum diameter smaller than this size.
15. For manually fed grinding machinery, it is prohibited to use tools such as levers to increase the pressure of the workpiece on the grinding wheel.
16. When using manual grinding machines and grinding machinery with a working speed exceeding 60 meters per second, protective barriers should be attached to protect the safety of surrounding personnel. 17. In cold workplaces, the load on the grinding wheel should be gradually increased until it meets the usage requirements, ensuring that the temperature of the grinding wheel gradually increases and preventing damage to the grinding wheel. 18. When using grinding fluid, it is necessary to prevent the grinding wheel from being partially immersed in the grinding fluid. When the grinding work stops, the addition of grinding fluid should be stopped first, and the grinding wheel should continue to rotate until the grinding fluid is completely removed. 19. It is not allowed to use grinding fluid in places where the temperature is below Celsius,
20. Grinding fluid should be clean and free of impurities, harmless to human health, and not reduce the strength of the grinding wheel.
Under normal working conditions, the concentration of dust inhaled by operators shall not exceed 10 milligrams per cubic meter and shall comply with the provisions of T36-79 "Hygienic Standards for the Design of Industrial Enterprises".
Under normal working conditions, the exposure of the operator's workplace should comply with the provisions of the "Industrial Enterprise Noise Health Standards" (draft). All grinding machinery should have an exposure sound level of less than 80 decibels in the air, and high-precision grinding machinery should have a sound level of less than 75 decibels
Before cutting, it is necessary to carefully check whether the workpiece is clamped correctly, whether the fastening is secure, and whether the magnetic suction cup is malfunctioning. When using magnetic suction cups to suck up high and narrow workpieces, iron blocks should be placed in front and behind the parts to prevent them from flying out.
24. The front of the car must adjust the position of the reversing collision block and tighten it, so that when the dry collision block moves on the worktable and causes the worktable to exceed the travel limit, the grinding wheel may collide with the workpiece bell shoulder, chuck, chuck, etc., resulting in a grinding wheel breakage accident.
25. It is forbidden to use the end face of a general grinding wheel to grind wider surfaces, and it is forbidden to grind bent workpieces on a centerless grinder.
26. For batch grinding of the same parts, after the machining of one part is completed, the horizontal feed handwheel (for external cylindrical grinders) or vertical feed handwheel (for surface grinders) of the grinding wheel holder should be withdrawn one circle to avoid collision between the grinding wheel and the workpiece when driving after installing the next workpiece.
When the work of the Centerless Grinding machines is completed or during a break, the relevant control handle of the grinding machine should be placed in the "neutral" position to avoid accidents caused by sudden movement of the grinding wheel frame or worktable when starting.
