Centerless Grinding machines is a type of grinder that does not require the use of the axis of the workpiece for grinding. It is generally composed of a grinding wheel, a guide wheel, and a bed. The grinding wheel and guide wheel are installed on the bed, and the grinding wheel actually performs the grinding work
There is a linear guide rail installed under the guide wheel that is perpendicular to the axis. The diameter of the workpiece is controlled by the movement of the linear guide rail. When it is necessary to adjust the shape of the grinding wheel and the guide wheel, two sets of cross shaped guide rails are needed to drive the adjusters to adjust the grinding wheel and the guide wheel separately. Due to the large number of guide rails, the entire system is very complex and it is difficult to achieve high adjustment accuracy.

Including grinding wheel 1, guide wheel 6, and bed body 9, grinding wheel 1 and guide wheel 6 are respectively installed on bed body 9 by grinding wheel frame 2 and guide wheel frame 7, and guide wheel frame linear guide rail 8 is installed under guide wheel 6. Its feature is that a grinding wheel frame guide rail 3 is set between grinding wheel 1 and bed body 9, which is perpendicular to guide wheel frame linear guide rail 8, and guide wheel dresser 4 and grinding wheel dresser 5 are respectively installed on one side of grinding wheel frame 2 and guide wheel frame 7. The two perpendicular guide rail CNC systems can be driven by two dressers to respectively repair grinding wheel 1 and guide wheel 6. After finishing, the guide wheel frame linear guide rail 8 under guide wheel 6 is controlled by the CNC system to adjust the size of the workpiece.
Due to the use of two adjusters to respectively adjust the grinding wheel and guide wheel, the guide wheel adjuster is mounted on the grinding wheel frame and driven by the movement of the grinding wheel frame guide rail, while the grinding wheel adjuster is mounted on the guide wheel frame and driven by the movement of the guide wheel frame linear guide rail. The entire system is designed with only one pair of mutually perpendicular guide rails to complete the movement of the workpiece and the adjustment of the grinding wheel and guide wheel, greatly simplifying the structure of the system and reducing the guide rail error caused by multiple guide rails.
