Several major problems and solutions for grinding defects during the operation of centerless grinding machines

1、 Centerless grinder leaves scars on the polished surface

Reason: The hardness of the control plate is too high, and small pieces of grinding debris or grinding wheels are attached or melted on the surface of the control plate. Countermeasure: The control plate should be changed to soft cooling water with soluble cutting oil.

2、 Spiral marks with equal gaps on the centerless grinder

Reason: Encountering the edge of the grinding wheel, poor adjustment of the guide plate, high dressing speed, diamond damage and wear, and loose diamond retainer are all causes of spiral marks with equal gaps in the centerless grinding machine. Countermeasure: The grinding wheel edge is tapered to make the guide plate parallel. Reduce the dressing speed, decrease the feed rate, change the contact surface of the diamond or exchange the diamond holder stabilizer.

3、 Unequal or equal gap fine lines in centerless grinding machines

Reason: Poor repair and external vibration.

Countermeasure: Start trimming from the edge of the grinding wheel and maintain a certain vibration speed at the edge.

4、 Centerless grinder with deep and irregular marks

Reason: Loosening of the grinding wheel

Countermeasure: Insert a lining between the cam and the grinding wheel and stabilize it.

5、 Centerless grinder vibration

Reason: Loose installation screws and unbalanced grinding wheel.

Countermeasure: Refold and distribute the load in a balanced manner to make the platform level and regain balance,

6、 Self excitation vibration of centerless grinder

Reason: Too high heart, too large angle of supporting blade, too large angle of supporting blade, poor installation of supporting blade, bending of supporting blade, large grinding amount, poor selection of sanding, poor roundness of sanding, looseness of grinding wheel installation table, looseness of spindle, external vibration.

Countermeasures: Reduce heart height, decrease angle, increase thickness, shrink clamping screws, correct support blade, reduce the number of grinding stars, negotiate with grinding wheel manufacturers, try to adjust before and after balancing, lock screws evenly, relock screws, adjust the spindle of the adjustment wheel, exchange diamonds for relock retainers, and isolate external vibrations.

7、 Centerless grinding machine cannot achieve true roundness

Reason: Low heart height, small support blade angle, high grinding wheel hardness, high grinding pressure, large rough grinding amount, loose adjustment wheel, insufficient cooling water (when grinding hollow objects), poor correction.

Countermeasures: Increase heart height, increase angle, improve propulsion speed, use sharp diamonds to increase correction speed, reduce feed rate and perform the first grinding at a high propulsion speed, re lock screws to adjust the spindle of the adjustment wheel, add coolant at good contact points, heavy
